nice, wanting to help, but it feels like you're swatting things 
and in your look 
something gets me swatting too

i think your poems are extremely personal 

you observe the little things so powerfully 
and i think what she is imposing on you 
is the feminine expectation of emotion 


3.
the other day, too warm for winter, i saw the sun 
creep down a tree, saw it mottle the bark 
until the branches shone like lizards

say you watched this happen
don't write it down,
let them see that's all you need, 
you saw the sun on a tree 
and that's all you should have to see
and all the light should do with you

so what lives 
moves down from there, 
trying not to consider things
