we discovered
the other day
how good
we felt, sitting
in the sun
turning old stories
into movies
in this quiet country
everyone's left
you put something
on the wall
and laughed
then said
your turn
i put my hands
up in the sun
and did one
of my shorter ones,
cinema
of the eclipse
the part where
the cars were leaving,
kicking up dust
i was thumbing
when you stopped
and asked where
i was going
with this
